We visited St. Augustine's tomb!
The St. Augustine of Hippo. Doctor of the Church. Author of Confessions. The St. Augustine whose mother St. Monica prayed for him throughout his life and he eventually left his pagan ways and found Christ!
His remains lie in the Basilica of San Pietro in Ciel d'Oro (St. Peter in Heaven Clothed in Gold) in the small city of Pavia.
In the crypt of the church are the remains of the famous philosopher Boethius, who was influenced by St. Augustine.
St. Augustine and St. Monica, pray for us!!
