Summer Days ☀️

With summer officially here - we have a lot to be thankful for!

We’re very thankful for a wonderful, fenced-in backyard we share with our neighbors!  In recent days, the kids have used the backyard to play Mass (the whole thing - procession to final blessing), sell items through the gate at their own Spar (local grocery store), and spent countless days dressing up and playing make believe as princesses, queens, kings, knights, dragons, pirates, police, farmers, ninjas, and the list goes on and on!

We’re also thankful for the beautiful areas to play at right by the Kartause!  So many wonderful adventures with our crew from picnicking, to watching Brian play basketball with the other dads at the Fun Court, to finally learning how to ride bikes at the bike ramp.  And, of course, playing at the playground. Crazy to think I remember Francis in that blue baby swing... and Isaac... and now it’s Clare’s turn!

We’re so thankful to have such wonderful friends living here — from so many different countries — some that we get to live daily life with for years and others only for a few months. Our lives, and our children’s, have been deeply impacted by them all. We are so deeply grateful for the blessing to be apart of this community, united by Our Lord, all seeking to love Him and our neighbors!

And so, as it’s time once again to say goodbye to friends, we say “Auf Wiedersehen,” which literally means “until we see you again!” ❤️
