Isaac made international headlines after meeting Pope Francis at the Wednesday Audience last week!
He dressed in his papal outfit (a gift from NeNe) shortly before the Pope entered San Damaso Courtyard of the Apostolic Palace. Due to the pandemic, the large Wednesday audiences have not yet resumed in St. Peter’s Square. It was a real gift to be in the courtyard with the Pope. Instead of traveling around loud, cheering crowds in the popemobile, Pope Francis walked around the courtyard. It was rather quiet with occasional clapping as the Pope talked to those along the banister.
The wonderful group of a Summer session FUS students we were traveling with had arrived early and made sure we would be able to get close to the inner aisle. Isaac and Clare happily went with some of the students when we got to the courtyard.
When pope Francis got to our group of students, he shook many of the students hands and stopped to bless Clare and then had his exchange with our little pope, Isaac!
After the meeting, Isaac told us that he shook Pope Francis‘s hand and that he would probably be a priest and pope when he grows up!
This was actually Isaac’s third time being blessed by Pope Francis. And Clare’s second time. All thanks to the wonderful students and make it possible! We are very blessed!
