Although she was born in Austria she doesn’t have citizenship there, she’s American, so it’s nice she could see America before turning one :)
We celebrated her birthday twice - once with my family in Iowa at the end of July and again with Brian’s family in Steubenville on her actual birthday, August 5! She much preferred the chocolate store bought cake over my homemade carrot cake!
Clare has brought so much joy to our lives! She’s such a happy, relaxed child. She adores her siblings and is always trying to join in on their fun. Ellie is a pro at holding her and I love to see my daughters smiling and giggling together! The boys often roughhouse with her and she doesn’t mind at all. She’s an avid thumb sucker - she likes both thumbs! She’s already well traveled - having visited Hungary, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic and, of course, Austria and the USA. We are so thankful for our little MaryClare Bernadette, aka “Bear”!
