We love getting to explore the local beauty with our Kartause community!!
A bunch of headed out to a trail near Göstling, right beyond the Eulenweg trail (we drove until we could drive no further). We packed a picnic lunch and ate near the water. The kids loved jumping in the freezing water! Then we hiked along the flat path. Besides the gorgeous scenery, a highlight was the tadpoles we discovered in a puddle on the trail. The neighbor kids collected some and brought them to their home — after going to eat at the Jausenstation at nearby Hochreit, where the kids played with the tadpoles in a bucket in the playground- even giving them a “ride” in the swing!
And a week or so later... those tadpoles became frogs! (In our neighbor’s fish bowl :)
